PREDICTIVE MODELS FOR SPRAY DRYING
Two different predictive models for spray drying of dairy products have beendeveloped , implemented and industrially validated by NIZO food research. These
two models , DrySPEC2 and DrySim, willbe described below. The development of
predictive models is an ongoing process; at this moment a consortium of universities and companies (with NIZO food research as the co-ordinator) is developing a model to predict the agglomeration in spray drying installations. This project is also briefly described below.
